just to break my own fall

New Apartment!

It’s finally that time again. Still don’t have internet at home, but at least I can steal all the internets I want from school. During class. Bwahaha. Man, I should pay attention.

Anyway, on first entering the apartment that Ju and I now live in, I did two things. 1) Check for unsecure connections - fail. There were none. Everyone around us is either too smart or paranoid. Or both. 2) Take “before” shots of the place.

At the moment, we still don’t have any living/dining furniture, but we do hope we secure some sort of plushy and comfortable and practical setting before our housewarming (Jan 31st!).

I present you with the before shots of the kitchen, dining, and living room:

Our living and dining is really just one big room..

And here’s after:

Why, yes. Our dining/living space has been replaced by a giant piece of cardboard and the workings of a 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle. This is what happens when you deny two people the fun of internet and TV. We’ve progressed from technology. Or something. (Hm, just realized my phone is lit.)

Next up are the before shots of Richard’s room, bathroom, and closet. Our main criteria for looking at places were 2bed/2bath ones because we wanted our own bathrooms. Or really, Richard wanted his own because something about how I take long showers or something ridiculous. Crazy ideas.

And yes, he has quite a large closet. On the right side of it, there are extra shelves where you can even put more stuff! Annnd, the after pictures:

Yeah, really dark picture of his closet, but I refuse to use flash. Most of the time, anyway. And I was too impatient to wait for his light to turn fully on. Energy saving bulb - hurray! I hope he doesn’t mind that I posted pictures of his room.. Hm. Really, I’m a wonderful apartment mate, yeah?

And last, but obviously not least, pictures of where I spend my nights (and mornings, and days I guess?). Or at least what it used to look like:

I have the master bedroom with the connecting bathroom. My  bathroom is huge if you add the fact that my walk in and side closets are combined into it like one huge room. Our bathrooms didn’t come with shower curtains. And now it looks basically like this:

I really don’t have enough light in my room to not use flash :( Maybe I should get another lamp..

Anyway, first thing our kitchen was stocked with was alcohol (surprising?) before we even had food (but only because we’re, or I mean, I’m.. an alcoholic we brought it with us). Just a picture of our current hard stash (we added a bit to it):

It’s not even that bad. Could have been worse if I had successfully brought down that large bottle of Skyy. Haha..

We hosted a small get together Thursday (?) night and had these results in consumption of alcohol:

Six people drinking? It’s not that bad..

We also played:

This game never ends, I swear.

Anyway, until I can stop mooching off school internet (or really I’m paying for this so I’m not really stealing..), this will be all for now. Cheers!
